Dear Friend,
Thank you for your continued commitment to the children of Ukraine. Your support means UNICEF can be there for children and families when they need it most.
The first half of 2026 was one of the hardest periods for children since the war escalated. Civilian casualties were 37 percent higher than in the same period last year. In June, more children were killed or injured than in any month since 2022. A severe winter, combined with ongoing attacks on energy infrastructure, left families without heat, water and power for long stretches. Schools also had to close their doors.
Because of donors like you, UNICEF continued to deliver. Between January and June 2026, your generosity helped UNICEF reach:
• 3.6 million people with access to safe water and sanitation
• More than 2.6 million people with restored heating during a harsh winter
• More than 94,000 people, including over 53,000 children, with cash assistance
• 107,000 children with continued learning through formal and non-formal education, including early learning
• Nearly 228,000 children, adolescents and caregivers with mental health and psychosocial support
• More than 123,000 people, including over 52,000 children, learning how to stay safe from landmines and explosive ordnance
As needs keep growing, your support remains a lifeline. Thank you for standing with Ukraine's children.
