Project Overview
Balochistan Rural Development Program (BRDP) has launched the "Support Afghan Refugees in Balochistan" project to provide essential aid to Afghan refugee families residing in the province. Given the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the displacement of Afghan communities, our initiative aims to address their immediate and long-term needs, ensuring access to basic necessities, education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities.
Project Objectives
Humanitarian Assistance: Providing food, clean water, and non-food essentials to Afghan refugees.
Healthcare Support: Ensuring access to medical aid, maternal and child healthcare services, and vaccination programs.
Education for Refugee Children: Establishing learning centers and providing educational materials to Afghan children.
Livelihood and Skills Development: Conducting vocational training programs to help refugees earn a sustainable income.
Shelter and Protection: Supporting the provision of adequate shelter, legal assistance, and protection for vulnerable groups, including women and children.
Progress & Challenges
While our project is live on the GlobalGiving platform, we have yet to secure funds. However, we remain committed to engaging potential donors and partners to meet our fundraising goal.
Challenges Faced:
Limited initial donor engagement and outreach.
High demand for humanitarian aid exceeding available resources.
Logistical barriers in remote refugee settlements.
Future Plans & Fundraising Efforts
BRDP is actively working on fundraising strategies, including:
