Story of Miss Kalavati

By Abran Michael | Data Coordinator

She has been working with Primary Education Project since 2 years and has experienced new learning skills by actively attending PEP training although she also shared that PEP training is extremely affable and approachable for her and the fellow ladies as well as the trainers here embrace efficiency and so they help us to develop strong interpersonal skills.

Her husband is currently working as a teacher in Mala Ram Primary School Mirpurkhas area and she further mentioned that by attending WEP training she has built up great confidence and has learned about women rights, importance of girl’s education and disadvantages of early marriages which she want to spread throughout her village women so they could be aware of the upcoming consequences.

Furthermore, she also made pit latrines from the savings done by all of the WEP females in her area and moreover, she also conducts classes in Adult Literacy Centre (ALC) which is present in her area and altogether 13 females take part in it every day. She also declared that she also saves money by majorly giving her portion in the BC system taken place in her area.

She also said that in the future she also wants to start tablet classes in her village Adult Literacy Centre so she could introduce her village women about the modern yet advanced technologies as well as by giving them exceptional knowledge about how e-learning classes are conducted would be quite interesting and beneficial for them. In addition to this, she further told us that one of her future goals is to provide her children with a quality education which she could not get but she wanted her children to fulfill their dreams and succeed in this competing world.
