Dear friend,
We are pleased to provide a report on the ‘Supplementary Lessons for Ukrainian Children’ campaign, which aimed to address the educational needs of children affected by the war in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, the educational process in Ukraine has been severely disrupted. Students are experiencing significant learning losses. Children living in deoccupied territories, near the frontlines, or displaced by the war have been especially affected. In response, Smart Osvita has launched several initiatives to help students overcome their educational losses, including ‘catch-up’ classes in Math, Ukrainian Language, and Literature. However, for some children who face significant educational challenges, additional tutoring lessons are needed.
With your support, we organised two Ukrainian language lessons for six-year-old displaced children on November 25th and December 2nd. These students participate in our program to address educational losses and face difficulties with reading in Ukrainian. The tutoring sessions focused on improving their reading skills, and according to Tetyana Netreba, a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature who conducted the lessons, students have already shown progress.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity and support.
Kind regards from Ukraine,
Smart Osvita's team
