We are pleased to provide an update on the ongoing ‘Supplementary Lessons for Ukrainian Children’ campaign, which aims to address the educational needs of children affected by the war in Ukraine.
Although we have yet to reach our funding goals, we remain optimistic about securing the necessary resources to launch these lessons. Every donation brings us closer to our goal.
Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the educational process in Ukraine has been severely affected. Students experience educational losses. Children who live in deoccupied territories, close to the frontlines, and internally displaced children have faced especially severe disruptions of their schooling. In response to it, Smart Osvita has initiated several projects to help students catch up on their missed learning. One of these key initiatives includes ‘catch-up’ classes in core subjects, such as Math, Ukrainian Language, and Literature.
However, we have observed that some children from vulnerable regions have experienced such deep educational losses that they are unable to study with even the catch-up groups. For these children, the supplementary tutoring lessons we plan to offer through this campaign will be specifically designed to help them overcome these gaps. These lessons will provide not only academic support but also the psychological assistance needed to reintegrate them into education along with their peers.
We are deeply grateful for your continued generosity and support. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress in bringing these vital lessons to life.
