Stand #withMalala is a social action campaign that accompanied the release of the film HE NAMED ME MALALA in India. The campaign aims to raise mass awareness by activating millions of people worldwide as newfound champions for girls’ education globally.
Victor Tango, the India partner for the campaign reached out to schools, to engage young people to see the film and support the cause. Screenings of the movie “He Named Me Malala” were organized for more than 20,000 school students from 76 schools across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The goal was that once they see the film, they engage in the subject through discussions and social action back on campus. One of the action points wasa book and stationery donation drive. The overwhelming response on the collection helped over 30,000 underprivileged girls across the country.
