Disadvantagd Communities Lack Access to Healthcare

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Street Doctors for 20,000 Disadvantaged Population project. Your contribution reflects care for people who struggle daily without access to medical services. However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin the planned outreach.

Across many parts of Nigeria, thousands of people live on the streets or in poor housing without access to basic healthcare. Individuals living with disability, HIV/AIDS, blindness, or deafness are often unable to visit hospitals due to cost, distance, or stigma.

As a result, common conditions such as infections, untreated wounds, malaria, and malnutrition continue to affect vulnerable populations. Many cases that could be treated early are left unattended, leading to worsening health and avoidable deaths.

This project is designed to reach 20,000 individuals through mobile medical outreach. Doctors and nurses will provide basic treatment, health checks, medications, and referrals directly within communities where people live.

With the right support, more people can receive timely care, reduce suffering, and improve their daily health conditions without needing to travel long distances.

We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this program and reach those who need care the most.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
Project Leader
