Project Report | Dec 21, 2010
Dec 2010 update

By Leonora Borg | Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

2010 has been an excellent year for CSC – we have helped children become more actively involved in child protection so that they can help keep themselves and others safe; helped the first Street Child World Cup become a huge success in raising awareness on street children; supported a mentoring scheme between children living in Uganda and the UK; raised key issues involving street children through the All Party Parliamentary Group for Street Children, including the lack of beds for UK street children and the need to include street children in the Millennium Development Goals; and have brought together NGOs, politicians, academics and the public to find solutions to improving the lives of street children through the CSC-Aviva Impact series.

2011 promises to be an exciting year – we have the United Nations Human Rights Council Day in March which is focusing on street children and we are launching the first International Day of the Street Child on 12th April. We would love for you to help us celebrate the day!
