It was a big month for StoveTeam's project in Guatemala! Thanks to your support, 13 new master stovebuilders have now graduated from our training program. We equipped them with kits of stovebuilding materials and sent them back to their communities to begin building.
Now we are receiving photos and data about their first stoves, and the results look great! Attached you can find photos of some of the new stovebuilders, as well as some of the most recent stoves built by the team! The next steps is to monitor their progress this spring, and then continue to expand and replicate this method across Guatemala and beyond.
This project is only possible thanks to your support!
Ongoing goals of the project
Through this method of empowering local people to operate as autonomous entrepreneurial stovebuilders, our goal is to install an additional 1,500 to 2,250 Justa stoves throughout Guatemala. We anticipate that this will bring an average of a minimum of 250 fuel-efficient stoves to six different communities. Through this program, our goal is to empower hundreds of new stovebuilders to gain valuable skills in construction, sales, and entrepreneurship.
