Thanks to your support, SBT is making a mark in the Citrus County community in Florida. Our mission is to put the best books in the hands of children and it has been noticed by key community members who are finalizing the plans to bring SBT County wide in kindergarten during the 2017-2018 school year!
Our small grassroots teacher founded and operated nonprofit began in one Citrus County school serving 130 students over the past two years. This school year the SBT program will serve over 1,200 with the goal of over 6,000 books to every kindergarten student in the county. Each year SBT more than doubles in the number of students served by our program. We attribute our program growth and success to a program developed by teachers who know how to best meet the needs of children and reach out to parents creating a parent engagement connection second to none!
Our work and dedication to children, teachers and parents is making a difference in Florida. A recent letter to our founder from teachers confirms the SBT impact.
"Our team has loved the program! It is truly WONDERFUL. We are THRILLED with the expansion of the SBT program. Our students and parents are reading more than ever. The excitement each time a SBT box arrives is through the roof and the kids are just as excited as the teachers. Thank you so much for all you do!"
Thanks to you, your support and donations we are able to move forward with our mission and cultivate a love of reading and a love of books in the neediest communities and schools! SBT making a mark in Florida... it is just the beginning of great things to come!
