Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your interest in the Stop LGBTQ Suicide through Peer Education project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned peer education and mental health support activities have not yet begun.
Many LGBTQ individuals in Nigeria continue to face rejection, violence, isolation, and severe emotional distress. Fear of discrimination and public attacks prevents many from seeking support, while limited access to safe mental health services leaves vulnerable youth without guidance or protection.
Without emotional support systems and trusted peer networks, many young people remain vulnerable to depression, self-harm, and suicide.
This project is designed to train peer educators in suicide prevention, mental health awareness, coping strategies, and confidential support services. Small peer support groups and safe circles will also help participants share experiences, reduce isolation, and connect individuals in crisis with trusted counselors and support resources.
With the right support, more LGBTQ youth can gain access to safe spaces, emotional support, and life-saving connections that encourage hope, resilience, and survival.
We remain hopeful that support will come so this important mental health and peer support project can begin and reach vulnerable individuals who urgently need care and support.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
