HFA continues to average 85-100 Participant visits per month. We screen Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar, and provide a monthly supply of medications to each participant. Our Participants' numbers have been very stable and mostly within normal range.
So far, the area where we provide services has been spared from the Covid-19 Pandemic, but this may change with the Holidays in sight. As people return from overseas and the cities, the risk of importing the virus increases significantly. This is a very frightening scenario in a place where there is no functioning organized Health care. Misinformation and disinformation will also compound and complicate issues if people start to get ill from the Covid-19.
In addition to the usual services, Participants are instructed to strictly adhere to use of Face covering. Health education will highlight the differences between the usual symptoms of Malaria and Typhoid, which share similar symptoms to Covid-19. The Health education also explains the purpose of all the other safety measures to protect against exposure to the Covid-19.
We continue to depend on your generous support to continue our service to the community. Please add HFA to your giving list this Holiday season. It's easy, click on the donate button to get to our project page.
Your support is greatly appreciated. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Sincerely
Nkeiruka Ugo, Project Leader.
