We cannot thank you enough for your "sole support" last December; with your generosity, we sent hundreds of Guatemalan students to school in brand new shoes so they could start the year off on the right foot! We are thrilled to tell you that nearly all of the students in the Mayan Families Student Sponsorship Program have now received shoes for the school year. If you missed seeing some of them pick out their very own shoes for the first time, check out the video below:
GlobalGiving "Step Up for 200 Students in Guatemala" Campaign Success!
Just in time for GlobalGiving's first BONUS DAY of 2015 on Wednesday, March 18th, we are kicking off a brand new project to raise funds to purchase the building for our San Jorge Elderly & Kids in Crisis Feeding Center.
You can learn more about the campaign here:

Many children, just like the ones you helped give shoes to, are in desperate need of nutrtitional assistance. That's why we started our Kids in Critical Need Feeding Program, which provides children living in extremely dire living situations with a nutritious meal, every day.
About 15 children and 60 elderly rely on our feeding program in the community of San Jorge. Without it, many of them will go hungry and become even more vulnerable to chronic malnutrition.
There are a variety of ways you can help us spread the word and save our center. If you aren't following us already, find us on Facebook and be sure to share posts or tweets throughout March, April and May encouraging your followers and friends to support our campaign. And please remember to encourage your network to donate on either March 18th or May 13th - two of GlobalGiving's BONUS DAYS.
From all of us at Mayan Families, including the many students, elderly and children living in crisis in rural Guatemala, thank you for your continued support and here's to another successful campaign!
