On behalf of Forum to Advance Minorities in Engineering, Inc.’s (FAME, Inc.) Board of Directors and administrative staff, we are excited to introduce and welcome the newest member of the FAME team, Ms. Rose C. Porter! Ms. Porter will serve as the STEMulate® Change Outreach Coordinator. She will coordinate program operations throughout Delaware. Rose is a returning Wilmingtonian, with a passion for her hometown community and STEM education for youth. Settling back into the Diamond State, Rose previously worked as a Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Tennessee Valley in Knoxville, Tennessee. Prior to going down south, Rose attended Howard University where she studied Health Education with a concentration in Community Health. When Rose is not out playing with her dog ‘Swoosh’, she enjoys yoga and is a certified yoga instructor. Ms. Porter has plans to increase the level of impact STEMulate® Change has on youth, as well finding ways to better connect with our community, while stewarding new partnerships with area school districts and other Community Based Organizations. Ms. Porter is enthusiastic to continue her work in youth development at FAME while also facilitating a culture of community and STEM education though her work with the STEMulate® Change Outreach Initiative!
