Dear supporters,
We hope that you and your loved ones are doing well staying safe and healthy. We greatly appreciate your ongoing support for youth education in Cameroon.
The new academic school year has started in Cameroon about a month ago. Meeting our new participants brought all the enthusiasm of a new academic year, as we convene as a community, reconnect with friend and colleagues, and dive back into our program and activity.
As this last quarter begins, we have been reflecting on how much has changed since the beginning of the pandemic. Our partner school, volunteers and community as a whole have adjusted month after month for normalcy in these uncertain times. We are thrilled to know that everyone has find comfort in reconnecting with us and the return to the rhythms of our program and activity. We want to thank all of you for working and supporting us to implement necessary changes.
Our basketball skill training has continued throughout this summer, despite the raining season and will continue through the end of the year. The youth had lost of fun times playing basketball all summer, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and time to time welcomed their friend from surrounding area for few competitions.
As we continue to lack adequate infrastructure to efficiently run our STEM education program and basketball skill training, we will embark this Fall on a robust hands-on training that will involve students from various course of studies, carpentry, masonry and electricity along with local contractors to renovate our partner school sport complex as well as the nursing program’s laboratory. This initiative will run from the Fall 2021 through the Spring 2022. Stay tuned as we will send you regular updates on this new project.
