Project Report | Aug 28, 2025
STEM Education for Underprivileged Girls

By Alf Namodi | Project Leader

Dear Friend,

I hope this report finds you well.

First Love Foundation would like to sincerely thank you for your support over the past year. We remain committed to the cause of high school leavers living in less privileged communities and their access to STEM education. Certainly, with all the financial challenges in the nonprofit space, our work is much easier with your valuable support.

However, as we take stock of our objectives, we note that there is still a lot of work to be done before we can have adequate impact as laid out in our mission objectives. Our main challenge remains the lack of funding to implement this particular project and as such we will have to repackage the project to attract more funding. We will update you as soon as this is done.

In the next quarter, we will be extending our involvement to the Florida area in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. This additional program will require much more resources which we believe can be raised from multiple sources including a sponsored half-marathon event in 6 months’ time. We plan that this fundraising initiative will coincide with the beginning of the new school year in 2026 and will therefore expand our impact as we cater to the needs of less privileged communities and their access to STEM education.

We will keep you informed of our plans and as usual hope for your continued support for which we are ever so grateful.

Thank you and warm regards
