Project Report | Dec 14, 2023
STEM Education for Bright South African Students

By Alf Namodi | Program Manager

I hope this finds you well.

Firstly, as we draw towards the end of the year, we would like to thank you for your support over the past six months. Without your support, we would not have made it this far in the project.

Secondly, as you may have noticed, we have, since our last communication, changed the name of our organisation from Educate SA Foundation to First Love Childrens Foundation. The change was made mainly to help align ourselves with our primary focus which is children generally and not just education of children but all that concerns children and their rights, which includes access to education, health, safe housing etc. And so, we remain committed to the cause of children living in less privileged communities.

As a result of the above mentioned changes, our focus for this project will be moving towards high school students in these poor communities, who are interested in and show high aptitude towards Science, Technology and Maths (STEM). The project will help assist these high school learners from Grade 11 in the STEM subjects and eventually prepare them for the final grade 12 examinations. This project will greatly enhance their chances of securing university admission in their chosen field related to STEM.

Well-wishers like you are the hope that these young people need. You are not just providing donations for these children in less privileged communities but in a seemingly bleak environment, you are giving them hope for a brighter future.

We remain deeply grateful for your support and look forward to a more enhanced partnership in 2024!
