We still haven't had enough funding to get the Unit running in it's full capacity.
Nevertheless, we continue working tirelessly on the filed at the moment, responding to the Zona da Mata Floods and Landslides.
This project will help better equip and prepare all those who already work with the team, as well as allow us to recruit more members and have longer reach in the state, reaching more people with the disaster preparedness courses and our disaster response capabilities.
As the Red Cross, we stand by the Voluntary Service Principle, meaning all money raised is invested in the betterment of the Unit and the help of those in need. All our members are non-paid voluntary emergency responders.
