Rural hospitals in Nigeria lack stable internet and electricity, limiting access to digital health services, emergency communication, online training, and patient referrals. This project will provide Starlink internet, solar power systems, and three months of internet subscription support to 100 rural and underserved hospitals. The support will help improve communication, healthcare delivery, and access to medical information in remote communities.
Thousands of people in rural Nigeria depend on small health facilities that operate with little or no internet connection. Many hospitals cannot access digital medical records, online consultations, health reporting platforms, or updated treatment information. Frequent power outages also make communication difficult. These challenges slow emergency response, isolate healthcare workers from medical resources, and reduce access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.
This project will equip 100 rural and underserved hospitals in Nigeria with Starlink internet kits, solar power systems, and three months of internet subscription support. The hospitals will gain faster and more stable connectivity for communication, patient referrals, online consultations, medical research, and digital reporting. Solar electricity support will help facilities stay connected in areas with unstable power supply.
This project will help rural hospitals improve communication, access medical information faster, and connect with healthcare professionals beyond their communities. Better internet access can support telemedicine, digital health reporting, staff training, and emergency response services. Rural patients may receive faster referrals and improved care, while healthcare workers gain stronger access to online medical resources and support systems.
