We are delighted with this project, as Borges said “I always imagined that Paradise would be some kind of library”, and with this opportunity, we want to share the immense joy that we have for being able to make this dream come true, the first community library in Puerto López has been inaugurated with the help of people and organizations with big hearts, like you, who reads this blog now, it motivates us to know that the local community, all of Puerto López, finally has a meeting place that contains books and words.
Work is still being done on cataloging the books, books that over the years we have acquired in Clara Luna's private library, and the volunteers of the Youth Club are creating protocols before they start lending these books. Our young people are empowered with this project, we share the testimonies and photos of how we have started in 2021, very encouraging with projects underway and desire to continue working.
