Hello!
We wanted to say a big end of year thank you to all of you who have supported our projects in 2019 , we have opened 4 more Schools of Hope, including St Benedict's - which we couldn't have done without the amazing support from all our ChallengeAid friends.
You gave generously to our St Benedict's School of Fund campaign earlier in the year and we are pleased to announce we have almost met our target, with just £639 left to go! If you would like to make an extra donation then we 'd be really happy!

We have also started an ambitious fundraising project to raise £50,000 to run a yearlong training programme for 180 Volunteer Supervisors who run the Schools of Hope on a day to day basis. Volunteer Supervisors approached our team in Nairobi and asked for more training on topics such as wellbeing, mental health, substance abuse, effective counselling, entrepreneurship, relationships, menstrual health - to name but a few areas! We realised that we need to ensure that all the supervisors are fully equipped to provide the best standard of care possible for all of the young people that we work with.
You can find out more about the project here: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/sohtraining/
On Tuesday December 3rd we will be joining Global Giving's #GivingTuesday appeal which means for everything we raise in 24 hours we can benefit from $500,000 in proportional matching funds and $42,000 in bonus prizes from GlobalGiving. Matching starts at 5am GMT and ends at 4.49am on Wednesday Dec 4th (that’s midnight on Dec 3rd until 23.59 for our US friends and 8am Dec 3rd until 7.59 am on Dec 4th for our East African supporters.)
We also have a lovely new website (Thanks to all at Pach Solutions in Llandovery), we hope you have managed to take a look- https://www.challengeaid.org/.
So, to all our supporters, we hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving, a peaceful Hanukkah a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
We'd also like to say goodbye to Mariella who is leaving us today and has been a driving force in this campaign.
Thank you again from all of us at ChallengeAid
