A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to the sports development program in Cape Town! A special shout out to XOXO Sports for being the main donor and fundraiser!
Because of you, a three day holiday sports program will be taking place next week in the community of Khayelitsha with our partner, Sporting Chance.
The school holidays are often a time when children are left without adult supervision, with little food, and are exposed to negative influences. This program will give children a space to participate in healthy activities, have positive role models, and have a good meal.
Sport provides an opportunity for personal and community growth to those that wouldn't otherwise have it. During a year that has impacted livelihoods so heavily, this program will provide hope, new possibilities, and the chance to envision a positive future again.
The power of sport is undeniable and we can't thank you enough for making this possible. It will be a fun-filled three days of football, cricket, and netball!
