Every day, adolescent girls worldwide experience inequity and violations to their human rights. In humanitarian settings, and during health pandemics such as Covid-19, these can be intensified. In a region where Covid-19 has hit the hardest, adolescent girls and young women continue to be affected in a myriad of ways, including adverse effects on their education, personal safety, bodily autonomy, health, peer support, social connections and economic prospects. Within this context, there is a need for your support greater than ever before.
Your donation supports HERA to invest in institutional capacity strengthening and strive to retain the wonderful staff, volunteers and coaches that implement their programmes. At the same time, your donation enables HERA to explore options on how to best support the girls who participate in their programmes and their communities.
