Thank you for enabling HERA to stand up for young women’s, girls’ and youth’s right to play sport in Libya. With your support, HERA continues to use sport as an active learning tool focusing around issues of social cohesion, health and reconciliation.
Despite a very tense and fraught context given to the current political tensions, HERA continues to implement and endeavor to make a change for girls and young women in Libya.
After screening in festivals internationally, HERA’s biographical film, Freedom Fields, hit the UK cinemas this past June as a run-up to the Women’s World Cup. Future screenings include the Discover Football Festival 2019 - a week-long event for Women's Football and Culture in Berlin, Germany, the Polish Football Film Festival, and Docs Against Gravity in Poland.
