Thanks to the emergency relief resources provided to support the victims of the devastating floods in Brazil, we were able to respond immediately to the urgent needs of affected communities. After supporting the cities of Juiz de Fora and Rio Bonito with thousands of kilograms of food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and other essential items, we continued our commitment to children and families through long-term recovery actions.
One of the main initiatives made possible through this support has been our socio-emotional recovery program through sports. Designed to help children rebuild confidence, strengthen social connections, and regain a sense of normalcy after the disaster, the program has been running continuously since March 2026.
Our first group was launched in the community of Monte Alverne, serving 33 children and adolescents. In addition to the regular sports activities, educational and motivational talks were organized for the entire school community, reaching more than 120 children and creating a broader positive impact beyond the program participants.
In May, we launched a second group in Linha Pinhal Santo Antônio, located in Sinimbu city. This new group currently serves 21 children and adolescents. The community is located in a remote rural area that was significantly affected by the floods and has limited access to educational, recreational, and developmental opportunities. Through regular sports activities and socio-emotional support, we are helping these young people rebuild resilience, strengthen their well-being, and reconnect with their community.
The transition from emergency relief to long-term community recovery demonstrates the lasting impact of the resources entrusted to us. While the immediate humanitarian response addressed urgent needs, these ongoing programs are helping children and families move forward, recover emotionally, and build a stronger future.
