Sponsor school uniforms for visually challenged

Indian Association for the Blind (lAB), based in South India is a well-known non-profit organization working to provide education, employment, training and rehabilitation for the visually challenged from rural areas. Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah, the visually challenged activist and a group of like-minded visually challenged people founded IAB in 1985.

Since its inception, IAB has educated and rehabilitated more than 19420 visually challenged children and youths mainly from rural areas. We have received 1151 dollars donations till date through 19 donations. Thanks to the individuals and residents on behalf of them. We really feel very thankful for your continuous philanthropic effort.

The funds which you have given to the students, who pursue their schooling, will indeed be very beneficial to our students whom we have selected from very poor background. This support helps to ensure that children attend schools with the necessary educational supplies and reduces the cost burden on their poor / disadvantaged families. This project also helps to improve the children’s attendance rate in the schools.

The IAB Higher Sec School follows the same content in syllabus as students in any school for sighted children in the state interestingly only the method of instruction is based on the needs of visually challenged. The funds would help these visually impaired children feel a sense of pride and identity and social equality in the School while fostering discipline, improvement of children’s academic skills.
