Sponsor Orphaned Refugee Children in Congo

The project Sponsor Orphaned Refugee Children in Congo aims to support 150 orphaned and displaced children in the Democratic Republic of Congo who have lost their families because of conflict. These children face daily challenges, including food insecurity, limited access to healthcare, interrupted education, and the emotional consequences of losing their loved ones. Our goal is to provide them with the care, protection, and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives and look toward the future with hope.

With a total budget of $22,000, the project has entered its preparation and resource mobilization phase. So far, $30 has been raised through GlobalGiving, an encouraging first step toward our fundraising goal. We are currently identifying qualified trainers and prospective learners to prepare for the project's upcoming activities. Once the necessary resources are secured, we plan to provide children with food, safe accommodation, healthcare, psychosocial support, and educational assistance, while older children will have opportunities to develop practical vocational skills. These activities are intended to help children recover from trauma, continue their education, and gradually build a more independent future.

Although implementation has not yet begun, every contribution brings us closer to reaching the 150 children who need this support.
