I am Fatima of age 7 years, student of school based in Village Abdul Karim Khaskheli. I am very interested in education because education makes me happy as I get recognition from the family members when I read. Because in my family, no one could get a chance to be an educated men or women. Basically, my family is a very poor family and a peasant by profession, as they are working on others lands, even, we do not have own land for the home. It was my mother’s dream that I must join the school but there was no school till this school opened by the ARTS Foundation in Village Abdul Karim Khaskheli. Before joining the school, I used to bring wood for fire to cook food as well as to fetch water from hand pump which is installed at the distance around 350 meters in the south of our home. I never thought that such day will come in my life and I will be in school as well as can read but I am able to read now.
COVID-19 pandemic has impacted a lot to education as the schools are close since last year’s March 2020. But we are fortunate that our teacher has made 5 groups of students having 6 students in each group and we do assemble for four days to continue the study. These group classes are taking place at our homes for three hours in a day only. We wear masks and use sanitizers with social distancing.
No doubt, I am very much indebted to you individual philanthropists and the GlobalGiving generous support and umbrella which is making my education possible even in pandemic days at a very remote and rural area village like Abdul Karim Khaskheli. My teacher is a very humble, committed, hard worker with effective in teaching skills.
Last but not the least, I pay thanks from my core of heart to ARTS Foundation for making my access to education at my home.
