Aside from the devastating effects of an ongoing covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lock downs - unemployment, no access to schooling and rising teenage pregnancies - other illness and diseases continue to kill. However, we noticed during the lock down that those that had skills remained back in communities working while others were stopped from working.
So we have continued to work hard skilling community girls, women and youth throughout the last eighteen months and have recruited more than 350 that desire skills training in various aspects.
On a brighter note, we are delighted to announce a successful launch for a skills development program at the centre. The project will be skills Girls, youth and women in various skills development programs like tailoring, hair dressing, computer training, farming, building businesses training, farming and photography but would need everyone’s support to have more get access to the training and pay for power, trainers and teaching materials and we are calling upon all well-wishers to join efforts to prepare a better world for those that are desperate and yearning for survival.
