With the country returing to the lockdown with schools now closed and movements restricted to one district and jobs lost due to the effects of covid-19 have very heartbreaking impact.
Having a significant amount of young people, teenage mothers and housewives out of work can negatively impact a community’s economic growth and development. If left unchecked. With your support we have shifted to skilling communities with tailoring, hairdressing, back yard gardening and computer training to ensure they secure their future and be able to create own jobs, unlock their potential, multiply their productivity and increase their income.
Assumpta, had a sewing machine in her house for so long but could only do repair not real garment creating or sewing because she never had this opportunity to do much bigger work. But after 3 month of Tailoring training with CFYDDI she is now able to make dresses for sell and says she is so lucky that in this ‘difficult’ year(due to Covid-19 ) she has gained very important skill and she plans to Partner with her class fellows so they become real fashion designers!
