Dear Donors,
There is something special about knowing that when a student walks into her classroom, her school fees have already been paid.
She can sit at her desk and think about her lessons rather than wonder whether she will be sent home because her family cannot afford the next payment.
Thanks to your support, 10 female students of Government Secondary School Kuje, Abuja, have now been awarded scholarships covering their education from SS1 through SS3.
Their first-term school fees have been fully paid.
For these girls, this is more than a payment recorded on a school receipt. It means they can continue their secondary education with one major financial worry taken away from their families.
Many families want their daughters to remain in school but struggle with the costs that come with education. When household income is limited, school fees and other educational expenses can become difficult to meet. A girl can be willing to learn, attend her classes, and dream about her future, yet money can stand between her and the classroom.
This scholarship is helping remove that barrier for these 10 girls.
When we started this project, our goal was to give girls from low-income families a chance to receive an education. Today, we are grateful to see that goal becoming real, one student at a time.
We have attached the school fee receipt to this report so that you can see one of the direct ways your donations are being put to work.
And this is only the beginning of their journey.
These girls still have years of learning ahead of them. There will be examinations to write, subjects to master, friendships to build, difficult days to overcome, and dreams that may become clearer as they move from SS1 to SS2 and finally SS3.
Our hope is simple: that money will not be the reason any of these girls has to leave school.
To every donor who helped make these scholarships possible, thank you. Somewhere in a classroom today, a girl is continuing her education because people she may never meet believed that her schooling was worth supporting.
We still have many more girls we hope to reach. If this story speaks to you, please share this project with your family and friends. You can also start an individual fundraiser and invite others to help another girl stay in school.
Ten girls have taken another step forward.
With your help, we hope many more will follow.
With gratitude,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
