Streay Paws Loreto expresses heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed donors for their unwavering support towards our mission to improve the lives of stray animals in Loreto. With your generosity, we have made significant strides in realizing our vision of establishing a shelter to provide refuge and care for these vulnerable animals. However, we must address an urgent need before proceeding with the shelter construction project.
Current Situation:
After securing ownership of a suitable piece of land for the shelter, our team conducted a thorough assessment of the prevailing stray animal population dynamics in Loreto. It has become evident that while the shelter remains a crucial endeavor, there is a pressing and immediate concern demanding our attention: the unchecked proliferation of stray animals in colonias located away from the central and touristic areas of Loreto.
Urgent Intervention Required:
The proliferation of stray animals in these colonias poses significant challenges, including health hazards, nuisance to residents, and perpetuation of the cycle of stray animal suffering. To address this critical issue effectively, we recognize the imperative need to establish a non stop an intenerant sterilization clinics in Loreto. This will enable us to conduct targeted sterilization and vaccination campaigns, effectively controlling the burgeoning population of strays in these neglected areas.
Plea for Additional Resources:
While our commitment to the shelter project remains steadfast we recognize this needs to be address in partnership with the local authorities in order to be a long lasting help to Loreto. We implore our generous donors to extend their support towards this intermediate and urgent goal. Your continued contributions will enable us to deploy resources where they are most urgently needed, ensuring tangible and immediate impact on the welfare of stray animals in Loreto.
