Sphoorti Foundation has been fortunate and our children blessed to have received your support all these years. We hope your love and affection continues in the years to come.
During the last three months, we have had some initiatives for our girl children. We are
1. Converting the existing building into a Girls Only Building.
We are building a new block for Boys in the existing plot of 3 acres. Upon completion, we will shift 70 boys to this new block. The existing block can accomodate another 100 girl children. It has more than 15 rooms and 25 restrooms with a computer lab, Wellness Room and a library.
We performed Bhoomi Pooja on Feb 26th for the new block.
2. We recently ran a campaign to collect Sanitary Napkins for more than 500 girl children. We collected a total of 60,000 units of SanitaryNapkins which were distributed among girls in various Government schools.
3. We are conducting Self-defense classes for girls and a few boys. A Taekwondo Master is conducting these classes for more than one year. Some of our children have won awards at district level.
4. We are distributing 50 bicycles among our girl children. They will use bicycles from the new academic year from June 2018.
