We have secured a new Specialist NF Nurse!
Karen Cockburn, Charity Director, has reached an agreement with an NHS Foundation Trust for a new part-time post for an NF Specialist Nurse, to be based in a region of the country where there is no cover at present.
We are awaiting confirmation from the partnered NHS Foundation that the advert has been approved and that it will be posted in the next couple of weeks. We hope to welcome the new Specialist NF Nurse to the team by the end of the summer months. Thanks to donors like you, we will be reaching unsupported families and individuals living with Neurofibromatosis and making a real difference to even more lives.
An anonymous donor has doubled the campaign value!
GlobalGiving presented the #OneMoreNurse campaign to one of their major donors via their Community Grant Scheme. On the merit of the #OneMoreNurse campaign alone, we were granted an extra £10,000 as well as an additional £10,000 of match funding!
This means, that the campaign has achieved in total almost £50,000 without counting Gift Aid, which is absolutely incredible.
We are so grateful to all of our wonderful donors. Together you have helped us potentially achieve two more nurses!
A successful crowdfunding appeal
In March, Brendan joined Crowdfund360 to present to over 100+ charity sector professionals. Throughout the presentation, he discussed how The Neuro Foundation’s first ever attempt at crowdfunding was deemed a great success by the loyalty and enthusiasm of our incredibly supportive donors.
Thank you, everyone!
