It's Rare Diseases Day Today!
In the spirit of raising awareness of NF, we have taken part in Rare Diseases Day 2017.
The Neuro Foundation has featured an awareness ad in the Rare Diseases supplement available in the Guardian today, as well as the online editorial that discusses the #OneMoreNurse campaign. We are happy to report that due to the success of #OneMoreNurse, Charity Director Karen Cockburn is already in talks with NHS authorities discussing the implementation of the new specialist.
“We have to find a way to reach more of the country, and we are so grateful to our community and donors for helping us provide this new position. I am already in talks, and look forward to releasing further news later this year. The charity has been profoundly impacted by the reaction to the #OneMoreNurse campaign, and we will be providing further updates as we make progress with the negotiations. We look forward to introducing the new specialist to the team, and our supporters.” - Karen Cockburn, Charity Director

The #OneMoreNurse campaign is still open and receiving donations, all of which will continue to go towards the implementation of the new specialist.
Our thanks for your continuing support,
Best wishes,
The Neuro Foundation Team
