Alumni Tails: Mama Kitty's New Life

This Mama Kitty, a very special one, was spayed at our clinic on June 22, 2016, and was our 80,000th cat helped. She represents all of the love and care that each cat receives - made possible by you! Together, caregivers, donors, and volunteers make our work possible and achieve a better life for the cats. We are truly grateful.

Last spring, Mama Kitty's caregivers, Ahn and her husband, noticed her hanging around their shop and began to feed her. They tried to trap her to be spayed at FCCO, but found the trap empty on the morning of the appointment. The cat who had visited them daily disappeared for about two months - only to finally reappear with four kittens in tow!

Ahn's dedication to this feral cat is paying off. She sent us an update saying that today "Mama Kitty is spoiled and has gained a lot of weight. She has wandered in the house, though doesn't want to stay inside if you close the door."
