More than 8,500 feral and stray cats have come through our doors this year, a near record and an incredible impact in the lives of each of the cats and their caregivers.
Ron lives in in rural Oregon where he feeds six feral cats, including one pictured here. He can't touch the cats but admires them from afar. He was concerned, though, that this handsome fellow might get the lady cats swooning, and soon six would become sixteen. Ron was also worried because he has a limited income and couldn't afford expensive veterinary bills for these cats that wandered into his life.
Three of the colony were in were spayed/neutered at FCCO's clinic a month ago, and the remaining three just made the trip for their day of medical care. Now this whole little colony is spayed/neutered (and vaccinated, too), and their caregiver will ring in the new year knowing these feral cats are healthy, but will never breed more litters in need of care.
This opportunity for kind people like Ron to get the care these cats need wouldn’t be possible without FCCO’s community-supported services - or you!
Thank you for all you do to help feral and stray cats, giving them a healthier lifestyle while bringing a sense of relief to their dedicated caregivers.
