A great year for the cats!

Exciting news! Our 2019 fiscal year was a record-setting year with 7,555 cats helped!

Some highlights from our last fiscal year, October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019:

At our July 19th clinic we reached our most impressive milestone to date — helping our 100,000th cat! The very special kitty, Bo, was from Woodburn, Oregon, and came in with his four littermates and mom. His story is like so many we hear when a stray cat has a litter of kittens and the caregiver needs our help. What he represents is so much more, and reminds us of the significance of our services and how great the compassion is for feral cats in our region.

We spayed/neutered 7,287 cats, a 22% increase over last year. We also provided follow-up care and vaccinations to another 268 cats. We remain steadfast in our mission to reduce feral and stray cat populations. Two thirds of our surgeries were for feral or stray cats living outdoors. The remaining cats were pets with the majority belonging to low-income residents. By helping these cats we prevent future feral cats.

FCCO Board member Shawn Mangum and his wife Lisa generously sponsored our new transport vehicle. This mobility now allows us to better help those with transportation challenges access our services.

As the need for affordable and accessible cat spay/neuter grows in our community, we are grateful to you for your support that allows us to expand our services to help more cats. Thank you!
