At the 2018 Furball fundraising event we showed a video that featured our 90,000th cat helped. This special kitty is Poppy, and she came in with her four kittens. What luck that their caregivers, David and Jenn, happened to have set up video cameras from the early days of the cats' arrival. They shared that footage with us, which you'll see in this video.
Poppy and her kittens, named Porcini, Portabella, Pomegranate and Potato (nicknamed Spud) were all spayed/neutered at FCCO's clinic and now are healthy and live a good life on their caregivers' property. Jenn and David first noticed the kittens playing on their front porch last fall. Since then, they have been feeding this little family, built them a heated, waterproof shelter and created a raccoon-proof feeding system. They also started a blog following all the kitty adventures!
Helping 90,000 cats like Poppy and her kittens reinforces the importance of our spay/neuter services and ongoing need for our work in the community. Thank you for giving us the support to be there for all the cats who need us.
