Look how far we have come!

Exploration with microscopic organisms
Exploration with microscopic organisms

Since SOSA’s inaugural STEPS workshop November 2013, our premier outreach program has grown by leaps and bounds. We humbly took 13 schools and a total of 91 students on an exploration of microscopic organisms, interactive chemistry and forensic science.

Did you know? With Jamaica as our launching point, STEPS has touched the lives of nearly three thousand students from over 100 schools, including additional Caribbean countries and across the United States.

Not only has STEPS grown in numbers in the past decade, but we have also incorporated an intercultural exchange, where undergraduate students from the United States are able to receive experiential service-learning opportunities through aiding in the workshop’s content development and delivery!

All these exciting developments are able to come to fruition because of supporters like you! Stay tuned as we have so much more in store for the upcoming months that we cannot wait to share with you!
