Alongside the Ministry of Health in Somaliland we've been supporting health workers to ensure that mothers receive the care they need during the drought.
We've been screening and treating pregnant women, mothers and children for malnutrition and ensuring they receive vital immunisations.
We're training midwives and securing specialist care to strengthen the health system's ability to provide emergency care capacity.
Lastly, we're facilitating mobile health services, so those excluded from mainstream support due to their location or mobility can still access healthcare.
Health Poverty Action has worked in East Africa since 1992. The strong relationships we've developed with communities and government officials means, together, we are well placed to help families protect their health during these difficult times.
Please contribute whatever you can to this appeal. Large or small, your contribution is immensely appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
