Months after its transformation into a full solar-powered campus, the goals of the University, towards cost-efficient and environment-friendly energy source, are slowly coming to success.
In line with its environmental sustainability methods, the amount of carbon which the University has avoided the production of carbon footprints through the use of solar panels total up to 602.048 kg, on a monthly basis. It could be noticed through the significant number that something is done in order to save the environment with renewable energy resources methods and one of which is solar power.
Aside from the top gain, the University is starting to save a significant amount of money originally intended to pay for the electric bills from a local energy source provider. Such important developments will encourage individuals and institutions within the city and the province to embrace environment-friendly and cost-saving measures in the coming years.
In retrospect, Foundation University was named in the year 2015 as the “Most Sustainable and Eco-Friendly School” in the whole country for the tertiary schools category. The use of renewable energy is one of the important measures that the University took in order to sustain its identity of an institution that heralds the green advocacy to the community.
