FU's eco-friendly venture continues with the installation of additional solar panels, owned by Foundation University, at the Main Campus. It can be recalled that solar panels were first installed at the buildings at the North Campus, home to the Foundation Preparatory Academy – the basic education arm of the University.
In its aim to go full scale with the implementation of the Renewable Energy project, solar panels were mounted on roof of the Old Engineering Building at the main campus.
A drone photo attached to this report shows the installation done by able workers who ensure the University that the equipment purchased will not only contribute to lesser power consumption from the local electric company but will also help in the conservation of the environment.
This is only one of the pivotal actions that the University has made in order to attain a sustainable and eco-friendly campus until the next generations.
