As in previous reports, it has been mentioned that Foundation University implemented cost cutting measures to meet its operational expense.
Foundation University in partnership with the local government of Dumaguete City did its share in fast tracking the Covid vaccinations of the local community constituents by offering its gymnasium as a venue to fulfill this goal.
The Foundation University gymnasium is powered by the Solar City Project. This is one of the areas where the solar power is fully generated. In the absence of face to face classes, this venue has been idle for quite some time. This event is one of the university’s social responsibility at no cost at all because of free electricity at the same time the university employees were made part in availing of free vaccines not only for themselves but also for their families as well.
In summary, the university has yet to raise funds for the 55% of the total area to become fully solar powered. GlobalGiving donations has been a major instrument in realizing this project.
