Dear GlobalGiving Community and Supporters,
Our team has been extremely busy over the past few months, and we are not about to slow down! Our main efforts at present are focused on meeting our fundraising goal in order to implement our solar solution when we go to Haiti in a few short months.
From entering the April Challenge Month here on Global Giving, to making presentations to various groups, to holding multiple fundraisers in the Chicago area, we have all been hard at work. Our team leader, Dhara Shah, presented to the Rotary Club (Chicago Near South) and has been chosen to present about our project at Yale University, at the Unite for Sight's "Global Health & Innovation Conference" later this week.
We have many more fundraisers and promotion events planned, including participation in "The Big Event" and the "Sausage Fest," both on the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) campus. Also on IIT's campus, we are being showcased at the Alumni Awards Banquet.
In addition to fundraising, we have been working diligently to spread the word about our project. To this end, we have been featured in the Chicago Tribune, and on the Engineering for Change website. YOU can help us in our awareness-raising campaign! Please consider forwarding our GlobalGiving information or one of our news stories to someone you know!
Thank you for all of your support with our project!
