Message about the solar center project

Nápoles is one of the communities in the Reyna del Quiché Zone that does not have access to several basic services, mainly electricity, this is due to the abandonment of the local government, as a community we have organized ourselves to request electricity, however these efforts have been in vain, as a teacher at the basic institute I would like to carry out many activities with the students, however, not having energy in the establishment has been a great limitation, we made the effort to buy a power generating plant to start teaching computer classes but the cost of gasoline is very high, and we spent Q. 200.00 weekly, that is why computer classes were taught once a week for 40 minutes because the plant generated smoke and it was affecting our throats. Thanks to the Solar Centers project we now have energy illuminating the classrooms of the establishment and a computer laboratory was set up, this allows us to carry out various activities in the computer course with children and young people without worrying about buying gasoline, smoke . It will no longer affect us, with the project we are improving the quality of education provided to students and promoting the development of our community.

Message about training for women in the Naples community

In the community of Naples, not all women want to participate out of fear and shame, because they think that only men have the right to participate. I have always wanted to participate in training but the opportunity has not been given, because we are so far from the municipality because of That is why we have been abandoned, we do not know many things, today in the training they gave us we learned what self-esteem is, the importance of women's leadership in the communities to seek to solve some problems that arise in our community, understand that not only men can lead projects, as women it is important that We also participate in meetings, be part of COCODE and start looking for projects that benefit us all but above all that benefit our children so that they have the opportunities that we did not have.
