By Sylvia Herzog | Chief Operating Officer
Dear Friends and Supporters-
Thank you for all the support you have given us these last few years as we helped the Rubaare Education Foundation adopt clean fuels for its schools in Rubaare, Uganda. Your support has provided equipment and training for making biomass briquettes, clean institutional cookstoves for the schools, and with our latest project, solar lighting on REF's main campus. The staff and the students of REF heartily thank you for all that you have given.
Despite the success of this and other projects, The Charcoal Project is winding down its programs this year due to lack of funding for operations. As such, we will be ending our Global Giving fundraising for the Rubaare schools. We will be sending the students one final grant to help them maintain their solar lighting system over the next few years. This system has provided classroom and dormitory lighting as well as security lighting and power for computers. Please consider one last donation to this good cause so REF can maintain the progress it has made.
Donate now to maintain REF's solar lighting system
We hope you will continue to support biomass fuel and other green energy projects and thank you one more time for your support and friendship.
Warm regards,
Sylvia and Kim
