Dear Friends –
Just a quick note here to tell you that a new solar system has been successfully installed at the main campus of the Rubaare Educational Foundation. Your support made the difference in the lives of these students who will now be able to study in the evenings and move around campus safely at night.
With your donations, as well as the generous support of the Unitarian Church of Summit New Jersey, we hired Village Energy, a Ugandan-owned solar company, to install lighting in the main chapel, some classrooms and in the girls’ and boys’ dormitories.
So far, Henry Twinemasiko, REF Schools Director, is extremely pleased with the system saying, “The solar system is working really well, the students are very happy with the lights.”
Now that the initial system has been put in place, we are raising funds to expand it to the rest of the main campus, and then to some of the other schools in REF.
Donate now to help us bring lighting and power to more students!
Thank you again for all your help and we will keep you updated on our progress in Rubaare.
Cheers!
Sylvia and Kim
