By Michael H. Varhola | President, Solar Empowerment Initiative
Dear Friends,
In spite of many obstacles we were able to deliver more than 1000 solar lanterns to several remote villages in Sri Lanka. We did this in partnership with World Vision Lanka. Please see below the letter from Michelle Croos, the Resource Development Officer with WVL. Our goal now is to be able to do that again in 2023, but with a target of 2000 lanterns. Our supplier has advised us that with the obstacle in just getting the a shipment to Sri Lanka because of the turmoil there and issues in China, we would be well advised to increase the size of the shipment. So that is our goal. We ask you, our generous supporters to help us reach that goal
Dear Mike,
Over the years, with your partnership and assistance, we at World Vision Lanka have been able to transform lives in Sri Lanka’s hardest-to-reach places, empowering children, women and individuals to reach their highest potential.
This year, more than ever before, amidst all that our nation is going through we have been able to set a new standard in our development work to uplift the lives of thousands. With your partnership we have made a mark in the lives of many Sri Lankans across all parts of our country and made a lasting impact in the most vulnerable communities.
To celebrate our partnerships and our work over 45 years in Sri Lanka, we request the pleasure of your company on the 1st of December, 2022 to have an evening of thanksgiving.
We will send you a formal invite in the days to come.
Even though the event is in Sri Lanka we though of sending you an invite since you are a valuable partner!
Best Regards
Michelle Croos
