Dear Supporter,
We are pleased to let you know that 276 students in the islands of K-Plot and Maipith in the Sundarbans were provided with solar lamps in March 2013.
On 23 March 76 students on K-Plot island were handed over the solar lamps at a ceremony organized by a local organization that is assisting with this endeavor. On 24 March 200 solar lamps were handed over to students on Maipith Island at a ceremony organized by Baikunthapur Tarun Sangha, our project partner. All the students who received the lamps have been inducted into ASED’s youth nature leadership program, the Green Rhinos Program.
